Welcome to First Baptist Church
We would like to invite you to attend our church, where God’s Word is preached. At First Baptist, we treat each other like family and love to meet new folks.
The purpose of our church is to worship our great God, share the good news of the gospel with our community, and build up and encourage our fellow participants in the gospel.
We invite you and your family to join us for church this Sunday.
What to Expect when you visit First Baptist Church
The worship service begins with a time of prayer and includes the singing of songs selected to go with the sermon, Scripture reading, and preaching from God’s Word. The sermon normally lasts 30-40 minutes. We celebrate the Lord’s Table on a regular basis as a congregation.
We encourage families to worship together. However, we do provide nursery for younger children.
People dress comfortably. We want you to come join us in worshiping our great God. In our music, we strive to be content driven. Whether a contemporary hymn, a praise chorus, or a great hymn of the faith, we want our message to accurately reflect Scripture.

At First Baptist Church Oxford, we have a variety of ministries that allow us to teach and reach the whole family.
Men's Ministry
The men at First Baptist Church Oxford meet weekly for coffee and conversation to get to know one another better. This is a great time of interaction for men of all ages.
Women's Ministry
Women at First Baptist enjoy periodic activities and Bible studies to grow in their faith. From weekly to monthly meetings, these activities are designed to enrich spiritual learning and devotion.
